THE SCENARIO

Over the weekend, news broke that Prairie Gate Financial, a major sponsor of The Wichita Wildcats, made several donations to a national organization known for its anti-LGBTQ lobbying and public statements opposing same-sex marriage and gender-affirming rights.

 

Screenshots of donation records and social media posts from Prairie Gate executives have begun circulating on X and Reddit. Fans and advocacy groups are calling out the Wildcats for “hypocrisy,” pointing out the team’s long-standing messaging about inclusivity, advocacy, and empowerment.
